SAVEX L39
Author : Dave Wilshere
Date : July 2004

I've just finished building a Savex L-39 for MW 44 power, this is an amazing aeroplane that can be flown from short grass fields (75m+)

There are quite a few around and everyone has their own preferred method of installing radio and accessories.

I would still steer away from going too cheap on the radio installed, it's an aeroplane capable of 150 MPH and even though it's low cost in jet terms it still adds up to £2200+ in the air-losing this to a cheap servo or lead is silly.

Also safety is as important as any other jet flying.

My equipment is:-
2 x DS361 on ailerons, 2 x DS161 in the elevator halves, 2 x DS3301 on flaps, 2 x NES331 rudder and steering. JR 1000DS Rx and a 1900J Rx battery (or you need nose weight!)
Fuel tank is a Graupner 1000cc petrol tank, feeding a UAT.

Equipment needed.
Spring Air 301 retracts
65mm main wheels, 50mm nose wheel.
Graupner 916.1 Small Jet Pilot
Graupner 272 1 litre tank
BVM UAT Hopper,
Orbit/JetCat clunk
Graupner 607 Fuel pump mount
BVM 5555 carbon control horns
