About JetCat Turbines
JetCat turbine major service takes place in Germany, backed up in the UK by Motors & Rotors who carry out none strip down maintenance.
Our JetCat turbines are supplied with pre-assembled filters and a Li-Po ECU pack.
The First JetCat turbines were running over 10 years ago, but Markus Zipperer and Horst Lenerz took their time perfecting the electronics and turbine tolerances-This is what makes JetCat special.
We have been dealing with the Jetcat factory for more than seven years.
It would be normal for different manufactures to hold the title as “The Best” with a product like model Jet turbines that are still developing on a yearly basis. JetCat still hold the lead and are the biggest sellers. There are many good turbines on offer from other manufacturers; it’s just that JetCat turbines are more than just good…
The JetCat system of on-board starting allows the operator to start the model without anything connected to it or anyone touching it. They pioneered this system…
The installation is simple, with the minimum number of connections required. The Installed weight and fuel useage is amongst the best in each of the three main classes, 18lb, 27lb and 35lb thrust.
Power can easily be reduced from the maximum figures allowing you to buy bigger before you need it.
JetCat turbines are noticeably quieter than many of their competitors, they are easier to operate and thousands of flights have proven them to be reliable.
Single or dual channel operation option, on-board start support allows multiple starts without recharging battery or gas. New Kerosene starting removes the need for start gas-perfect starts even in the winter.
The new SE series of turbines has fantastic throttle response and memory chip data store in both the turbine and ECU.
Motors & Rotors prices are realistic and allow us to offer a back up service that frankly all our competitors only dream of.
We keep good stocks of turbines and parts, won’t charge for things that are not in stock, offer a full receipt and know what we are doing. |
JetCat Fail Safe
13-12-07
For a JetCat turbine with a 9x, 10X etc set your throttle travel to 100% then set radio fail safe for the throttle and trim all the way down. Next re-set the low travel to 75% and teach the ECU stop, idle and max power again.
From this point on any time the ECU sees a command that does not fall between kill and full power it knows the radio is in fail safe and starts the timed shut down, if the command comes back into range before the time expires everything continues on as normal.
The ECU knows the radio is in fail safe because the fail safe throttle command was set to a level that is lower than the level that you teach it kill is.

JetCat Prices
All turbines are full Auto Start and as standard come gas start, with a Li-Po ECU battery. NiCad ECU batteries are available for those that do not want to use a Li-Po battery.
JetCat turbines come complete with ECU, Ground Support Unit, fuel pump, fuel/gas shut off valves, battery, leads, fuel tube and a range of Festo fittings, gas tank and a fuel clunk.
The Kerosene conversion is a simple screw in unit that replaces the glow plug and comes with full instructions. We recommend only using Nicad or Li-Po ECU batteries due to the high start current. Add £110 to any turbine for the Kerosene start option. |

JetCat P70 turbine
The P70 was originally developed for the BVM range
of scale models, T33, P80 and F86 Sabre. The smaller diameter makes
it ideal for larger 90 size DF conversions.
As with the whole JetCat range the P70 shares the class leading self start
system developed over the last 10 years.
Effectively a "small case" P80 the P70 produces just under 17lb of
thrust packed into a case that is only 97mm diameter.
Dimensions:
Length 305mm (inc starter motor),
Diameter 97mm
Weight 1230 grams.
The standard JetCat ancillary items weight a total of 629 grams making a total
airborne weight of 1859 grams.
