At Motors & Rotors we have been using Li-Po cells for a little over three years, in that time we have tested and used most of the major brands. We work our cells as hard as anyone and have regular usage through a good team of pilots all connected with M & R. Each time we have come back to Thunderpower cells.

We are not connected with TP or the UK distributor in any way and are free to buy what we like.

We have watched the aggressive marketing of the main opposition and worry that people are being taken in by the hype. In back to back tests TP cells have proven lighter and gave higher performance than all the other cells we tested.

Our favourite Shockflyer pack is the 480 3s pack for indoor and 730 3s outdoor. The 1320 cell works best in Twister 3D's and Microstar 400 type helicopters and many Foamy type aircraft larger than 650mm span. The 2100 cells are the best period, for the new Alfa EDF models and our T-Rex 450 Se model. 4200 cells in my Graupner Ultimate in 6s format with an AXI 4120-18 motor and 4000 8s on an AXi 4130-16 G-Sonic 15 x 8 in my Graupner Extra 300. For the Comp ARF 2 x 2 Extra and ION-X helicopter the 6000 10s (2 x 5s packs) rule. Don't be fooled into buying something that does not deliver.
